Responsible Gambling
Statlign publishes analysis for research and entertainment. It is not a way to make money, and no prediction on this site is a guarantee. If gambling has stopped being enjoyable, free confidential help is available today, in most countries, at any hour.
Warning signs worth taking seriously
Gambling harm rarely announces itself. It usually appears first as a change in behaviour rather than a dramatic loss: betting more than you planned, staking larger amounts to feel the same interest, or thinking about the next bet while doing something else.
Chasing losses is the clearest single warning sign. So is borrowing to stake, hiding the extent of your betting from people close to you, missing work, sleep or commitments, and feeling anxious or irritable when you cannot place a bet. If several of these are familiar, treat that as information rather than judgement.
Practical limits that actually work
Decide the amount you can lose without it affecting anything else, and treat that as the cost of entertainment rather than an investment. Set deposit, loss and time limits with your operator before you start, not while you are behind, because limits set in the middle of a losing session are the ones most often overridden.
Keep gambling money separate from money you need. Avoid betting while drinking, tired or upset. Take scheduled breaks, and never treat a prediction — including ours — as a reason to stake more than your plan allows. A confidence score is a probability estimate, not a signal to increase a stake.
Self-exclusion and blocking tools
Every licensed operator must offer self-exclusion, and national schemes let you exclude from many operators at once: GAMSTOP in the United Kingdom, BetStop in Australia, and equivalent registers in most regulated markets. Exclusion takes effect quickly and cannot be reversed on impulse, which is precisely the point.
Blocking software such as Gamban or BetBlocker restricts access to gambling sites across your devices, and most banks now offer a gambling transaction block that can be switched on in the app. Using several of these together is more effective than relying on willpower alone.
Where to get free confidential help
Support is free, confidential and available whether or not you are ready to stop. In the United Kingdom, the National Gambling Helpline runs 24 hours a day on 0808 8020 133. In the United States, the National Problem Gambling Helpline is available on 1-800-522-4700 and by text. Gamblers Anonymous operates meetings, in person and online, in most countries.
If you are supporting someone else, the same services help family and friends. You do not need to wait for a crisis, and you do not need the person gambling to agree to seek help before you do.
How Statlign tries to keep this honest
We do not publish guaranteed-win language, sure-thing claims or fixed-odds promises, and we do not present betting as a route to income. Losing selections stay visible in our public record so the realistic hit rate is never hidden behind highlights.
Access to Statlign requires you to be 18 or older, or the legal gambling age where you live if it is higher. If you have self-excluded from gambling, we would encourage you to avoid prediction content of any kind, including ours, while that exclusion is in place.
