Statlign Blog

The blog is where we explain the method behind the predictions rather than the predictions themselves: how a probability is produced, why a strategy was reweighted, what a losing run actually tells you, and how to read a betting market without fooling yourself. It is written by the Statlign research and editorial team and dated so you can see what we believed when.

What we write about

Three subjects recur. First, method: how the strategy ensemble reaches a selection, where its inputs come from, and which parts of a match it cannot see. Second, markets: how prices form, why they move, and where published odds diverge from underlying numbers often enough to matter. Third, accountability: reviews of our own graded results, including the periods where calibration slipped and what we changed in response.

Why we publish our misses

A prediction service that only discusses winners is marketing, not analysis. Every graded outcome — won and lost — stays on the public record, and when a strategy underperforms across a large enough sample we write about the correction rather than quietly shipping it. That is the only way a reader can judge whether the confidence numbers on the site mean anything.
